The Rouen Sea, River and Port Museum

A museum situated at the heart of the sea and river port, the Espace des Marégraphes, whose docks have become a favourite place for the people of Rouen to take a stroll.

Situated 100 km (62 miles) from the coast, Rouen is an inland port. It is still today one of the main European ports and a stop-off point for passing liners, cargo ships, towboats and barges.

Located on the banks of the Seine, the Rouen Sea, River and Port Museum retraces its past, and that of the Seine, in a place full of history – an old port hangar used to store wine that had come from North Africa.

Temporary exhibition: exhibition on Rouen's floating docks

Since the development of the Espace des Marégraphes, the docks have become a favourite place for the people of Rouen to take a stroll.
